Udupi, May 14: The District Bar Association here organized a farewell function, for the district sessions judge K N Phanindra and senior division civil judge A M Ramachandraiah, at the court complex here on Wednesday May 13 morning.
Senior lawyers Vittal Shettigar, Prabhakar Hegde and M Sitaram Shetty bid farewell to both the judges K N Phanindra and A M Ramachandraiah, on behalf of the Bar Association.
Judge K N Phanindra, speaking on the occasion, said that the legal profession is a dignified profession, and that the lawyers are expected to work towards social justice. The up coming lawyers need guidance from the senior lawyers. The young lawyers should develop an aptitude for social service and keep abreast of the changes and update their legal knowledge, he advised.
The programme was presided over by Bar Association president C Vijay Hegde.
State Bar Council members B P Hegde and P C Gopal were present at the dais.
Lawyer Vijay Kumar welcomed the gathering. Secretary Ronald Praveen Kumar proposed vote of thanks. Mohammed Suhan compered the programme.
