Kundapur, Jun 20: Byndoor BJP unit has demanded the arrest of suspects in cattle thefts taking place in the area.

Complaints of cattle thefts in two houses were registered in Byndoor police station on Wednesday, June 20. BJP Byndoor youth leader Sharath Shetty Uppunda and local Bajrang Dal youths were present when complaints were lodged in the police station. They have urged police to find stolen cattle, arrest the suspects immediately and take action against the guilty.

They said that cattle thefts are increasing in Kundapur taluk for the last several months and series of thefts of cattle have also come to light in Byndoor taluk. Cattle are being taken away from sheds but it has not been possible to find the stolen cattle or the suspects so far, they said.

“Cows were taken away from the shed of Sadeyamma Gowdy, Mallimane at Kathlehole, Elajit on Tuesday night. Only women are staying in the house. They had bought Sindhi cow and local breed cow by borrowing forty thousand rupees. Unknown persons who came in luxury car at about 1 am late night on Tuesday when it was raining and they were fast asleep, took away the cows. As there are marks of car wheels on the road, it is suspected that cow thieves had come in luxury car for the purpose,” they informed.

They also informed that thieves had stolen three cows from the house of Parvati Poojary nearby. The family members found the shed empty when they got up in the morning. They had bought the cows by borrowing 60 thousand rupees. The family depended only on cows for their living.

The stealing of cow or slaughtering cow for exports is an equal crime. If BJP and Bajrang Dal are real worshipers of 'Gau Mata' then they should write an open letter to PM Modi and his minister of Agriculture and Trade stop the $5 Billion 'Beef Exports' to stop with 48 hours or else there will be mass suicide by its activist in front of PMO.

As an Indian, suiciding farmers life is more precious for this nation than the cows wondering in street abandoned by their owners.

Yes, real cow chores need to be caught and punished. I smell hands of cow rakshaks in this issue. They are the one who steal the cows and sell and later on they themselves inform police about the transportation. Poor buyer is getting cheated. the seller and cow rakshaks are planning the deal. POlice should look for and catch the real cow kalla.
