Mangaluru: Innova car skids and hits wall – Eight injured, two serious

Mangaluru, Jun 18: An Innova car skidded and hit a wall of a building at Mary Hill on the way between airport and city on the night of Tuesday, June 18. As a result, 8 people sustained injuries, out of which, two are serious.

The car has the Karnataka registration, but the occupants are from Neeleshwar in Kasargod district. The car had come to the airport and was on its way back to Neeleshwar when the accident took place.

 

 

All the injured have been admitted to a private hospital in city.

    Nothing new here since it is a concrete road and people from Kerala who use the Mangalore airport drive as if they are driving some supersonic vehicles on this road. Worst is one passenger flying out or incoming but vehicle full of people like uppad pachchir to see off or to receive the passenger. Driving on this road is a real challenge.

    I fully agree with your comments. I have seen this most of the time. One passenger and a dozen people accompanying to wish him Good Bye at the airport and same way vice-a- versa,
