Mangaluru, Jun 18: Muslims organizations have come forward to put an end to the illegal transportation of cows in the coastal region. They have decided to form a new organization in order to prevent the illegal cow trafficking business.
So far only Hindu organizations were protesting against the illegal cow trafficking in the coastal region. However, now the Muslim organizations have also made a move in that direction. An organization in the name of 'Akrama Gow Sagata Samrakshana Samiti' is going to be formed soon. The youth wing of state Muslim League will take the leadership of the said organization.
The newly formed committee will begin its work in the Dakshina Kannada district, which has witnessed repeated antisocial incidents in the name of illegal cow trafficking. Later, depending on the necessity, it will spread its work to other districts of the state as well.
"The newly formed organization has plans of making the illegal cow traffickers understand the graveness of their act. If they do not budge, then they will be handed over to the police," said Siddique Talapady, leader of youth league. In addition, the committee will also urge the religious preachers to create awareness with regards to the illegal cow trafficking in all the mosques and Madrasas of the district.
