Mangaluru, Jun 17: Condemning assault of colleagues at Kolkata, doctors have been on a day-long strike all over India. Outpatient departments would remain closed from 6 am on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday.
The doctors of the twin-districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada have extended support to the strike call. Private hospitals and doctors have been extending support to the strike call. All services except emergency are not available.
In Dakshina Kannada, doctors practising privately have closed their clinics for a day to support the strike call.

The striking doctors have now come together to hold a meeting at the Indian Medical Association auditorium, Attavar.
District Wenlock Hospital and Lady Goschen Hospital at Mangaluru, have been witnessing unprecedented rush of patients as private hospitals have not been providing outpatient services.
Even services at KMC Hospital Manipal would stand suspended for a day.
The government hospitals have been rendering services to the patients normally. There has been abnormal rush in government hospitals as private hospitals are not functional.
