Bengaluru, Jun 17: In a startling revelation by Times Now, it is reported that Rahul Gandhi reposed faith in the predictions made by party's strategists that Congress would reach a formidable position in the Lok Sabha election and that he could be the next Prime Minister of India. The core team of Rahul's aide, Praveen Chakravarty and Ramya (Divya Spandana) had said they had conducted various surveys and come to the conclusion that the party would get around164 to 184 seats in the election this year.
Divya Spandana and Praveen reportedly got huge money in the name of conducting researches. Both of them have not been available for contact since the result of the Lok Sabha election was announced.
Rahul had consulted with his party allies like Akhilesh yadav, M K Stail, Omar Abdullah, Sharad Pawar etc and discussed with them the possibility of sharing ministerial positions with these parties. Rahul took this initiative as he was reassured by his team which said it had conducted detailed researches and came out with the results, that Congress would win anywhere between 164 and 184 Lok Sabha seats. Rahul had also got two letters from a senior legal aide, for helping the party to stake claim on forming the next government. He also had made preparations to organize celebrations of party's victory outside the office of the Congress on Akbar Road New Delhi with the participation of about 10,000 people.
On the counting day however, Rahul's confidence plummeted as the results started trickling in. Praveen Chakravarty who looked after election office and data analysis of the party and who was in-charge of running Shakti app, is not available for contact now. It is said that he is yet to provide pre-election data to the party although he charged Rs 24 crore for it. It is said that many inside the party, going by the continued absence of Praveen from programmes, are forced to believe that he was working on behalf of the BJP.
Ramya (Divya Spandana) has been another key member of the strategy team who has not been seen since election result was announced. Ramya, who came out with favourable verdict for the Congress based on her 'research', too is said to have charged Rs eight crore for her work. It is also surprising that Ramya has also deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Sonia and Priyanka also had strongly believed in the researches made and figures arrived at by the party's strategic team, it is learnt. It is said that Rahul Gandhi's insistence on resigning as party president stems from the frustration he went through when the shocking results exposed hollowness of the outcome of the so called researches. He wants someone else to take the party's mantle and stop the advances of BJP and its Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
