Bantwal, Jun 16: A 17-year-old youth committed suicide at Kadumata in Vittal near here on Sunday, June 16.

Cristal Nikhil D’Souza (17) is the person deceased. He was the son of Denis D’Souza at Kadumata.

It is said that Cristal was depressed after he failed to clear first PUC exams. He was enrolled for tuitions at a private college for tuitions in Vittal. But he was not going there since a week.

The family of Denis D’Souza had gone for Sunday mass. When they returned, they found Cristal hanging in his room. They tried to take him to hospital but by then Cristal had breathed his last.

Cristal is survived by parents and two sisters.

    He could have taken up a technical course and started working and could have completed his education privately. In US all work and pay their fees only in India it is liberal.
    However ending up one's life is not a concrete solution. May his soul rest in peace.

    The problem is good companies will only hire bright students and average students will only be lucky if they can find a decent job after graduation, irrespective of their other talents...so there is parental pressure to perform well in exams and students cannot disappoint their parents.

    A young blooming life lost, is heart breaking.... Parents should understand that instilling pressure to perform, can have negative implications... The period especially after examinations, is highly stressful n volatile... Counseling is the most neglected, part of our curriculum.... Abroad counseling centers n helpline are available.... here parents, teachers wake up only after a tragedy !!! RIP....

    Parents should be more careful & vigilant during their children exam & results, especially on those who has difficulty in studies and have poor grasping power.

    Church / schools organizes Career guidance program once in a year. They should also keep a class where they explain and convince how to overcome stress during similar situations. Life is Important than the education.

    The number of suicide cases rising daily.

    Parents please be friends to your children. Involve yourself in their activities , in the fields of Spritual, Character and studies. Today, parents find it necessary to send them for private classes by paying huge amount with high expectation. Instead get someone who can come to your place and take care of the studies if you desire. You will surely know the updates. When we were studying, if any child is going for tuition means not so good. Our teachers and Lecturers teaching us so well, there was no need.

    If the child has failed, please sit with the child and convince him or her, that this is not the end. Its fine. Do not show your anger instead love and care. Encourage them that this is the beginning to do better and achieve the best results.

    Also pray for them.

    Young people have always faced many distractions, preventing them from focusing on studies.

    But now, with the social media, the distractions are far greater.

    To make it worse, the attachment to the social media can force young people to go to bed late and lose sleep. With sleep deprivation, paying attention to studies becomes near impossible.

    Hope the parents show greater understanding towards their children.

    Sorry to note this case of the young man.

    Very sad.He was too young to end life.These suecides because of failure in exams are increasing daily.Parents are here mostly to bear the pain.Thatswhy parents should inquire about their children and their education ,previously before exams.If any problems show kindly take them to a person to clarify and encourage them ,to take it with sportlich.Watch them and their mood.dont let them down.Heartfelt sympathy to family.May his soul rest in peace.

    1st i request these 1rank students poster in papper n cuz out shlr b stopped bcz of tht backlog students get huge pressure frm parents still mba mcom bcm students romming here n thr for job....SACHIN TENDRULKAR 10TH FAIL BILLGATES I WAS NOT A UNIVERSITY TOPPER BUT TODAY ALL university toppers are my employer....s we shld support our children dear son/daughter try to get good marks instead of forcing them u shld take 100/100 othrwise no entry in house...bla bla n all ....GOD GIVE ALL OUR PARENTS GOOD HEART
