Vishu Shetty, who came to know about the matter, rushed to the spot with an ambulance. The lady gave birth to a baby boy even before the medical personnel reached the spot. Later, the medical staff gave her first aid and admitted her to a maternity hospital.
Krishna, husband of the lady, had gone to work, even when the day of labour of the lady was fast approaching, in order to make ends meet. That is why the poor lady had to face a helpless situation.
These kind of incidents are very rare in the district as the workers of Asha programme cover most of the poor and destitute people. At present, both the baby and the mother are doing fine.
