M'lore: Abu Dhabi Beary’s Welfare Forum Invites Applications for Mass Marriage

Mangalore, Apr 20: Abu Dhabi-based Beary’s Welfare Forum will be organizing a mass wedding programme, in order to support the girls hailing from economically weaker sections of the community to settle down in life.
The function will be held on Monday July 13 2009, at Milagres Auditorium here. The Forum will bear expenditure to the extent of one lac rupees per each couple, inclusive of jewellery for the bride and financial assistance to the bridegroom and wedding expenses.
Muslim brethren residing across Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagalur and Kasargod districts can avail of this facility. A maximum of 20 couples will have an opportunity to get wedded at the proposed mass community wedding. Preference will be given to the orphaned and physically handicapped girls, besides those who have exceeded the marriageable age.
The responsibility of finding suitable grooms and brides will lie with the respective applicants. The decision of the selection committee will be final.
Those interested in availing of this facility are requested to forward their applications, with names of brides and bridegrooms, postal address, telephone number and recommendation letter from Jamaat, by May 31.
