Mangaluru, May 20: Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor has declared that Congress-JD(S) 'unholy coalition' is in its 'final days'.
Addressing a press meet here on Monday, May 20, Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor said, "The unholy coalition government has completed one year of its tenure which is full of failures and the state has not been developed. Karnataka is facing drought, water crisis which has not been addressed by the government and state government is responsible for the problems.”
"Even Dakshina Kannada is facing water crisis, but we need to search for our district-in-charge minister U T Khader, while chief minister is busy relaxing in the resort. Due to the water crisis, arecanut growers are suffering and borewells have dried up. During the last year budget, Paschima Vahini project was announced, but since one year government has failed to implement the project,” said Sanjeev Matandoor.
"Government should provide Rs 2 crore each for every constituency to resolve water crisis, but in the last one year, government has provided only Rs 50 lac. In the examinations, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi were securing top spots, but in the recently concluded examination result, Hassan topped. JD(S) even claimed that it was possible because of them. I have heard them doing Golmaal (cheating) in politics, but now they are doing Golmaal in the education field," said Sanjeev Matandoor.
Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, Kishore Rai and others were present.
