Mangaluru, May 16: Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh had its AGM on May 12, 2019 at the auditorium of Bishop’s House in the city. Roplhy D’Costa presided over the meeting and welcomed the gathering. Celestine D’Souza, General Secretary, presented the annual report and Treasurer, Vivid D’Souza presented the annual accounts.
Recently Catholic Sabha celebrated its Ruby anniversary. During this programme, they have launched a project of building a permanent training center. Walter D’Souza, senior and founder vice-president has gracefully accepted to be the convener of this project.
Fr Mathew Vas, spiritual director, thanked all the office bearers for their leadership and good work done in the period of 2018-19.
Thereafter new executive committee was declared and the first meeting of the new committee was convened. In this meeting election of new office bearers was conducted by the election committee chairman Nigel Pereira, ably assisted by co-convener Lancy D’Cunha.
The following people were elected as office bearers for the next term:
President: Roplh D’Costa, Mulky
President designate: Victor Corea, Derebail
Vice-President: Harry Rego, Moodabidri
Secretary General: Naveen Braggs, Uppinangady
Assistant Secretary: Ajay Pais, Mogarnad
Treasurer: Joachim D’Souza, Kadaba
Joint Treasurer: Gretta Fernades, Katipalla
Immediate Past President: Anil Lobo, Valencia.
Immediately after the election, handing over ceremony was conducted under the leadership of senior President Casmir Menezes and everyone expressed solidarity with the new team.
