Mysore, Apr 10: Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Mutalik was released from the jail here on Thursday April 9, after the local court granted him bail.
It may be recalled, that Mutalik was arrested, after he made a decision to enter the Kyatamaranahalli area here, which was ravaged by communal clashes, against the instructions of the district administration recently.
As soon as he was released from the Central Jail here, the policemen from Gonikoppal who were awaiting his release, took him into their custody. He was taken to Virajpet, as the court there has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him on Wednesday April 8, after he failed to appear for two successive hearings in a case relating to delivering a communally provocative speech at Gonikoppal in 2003, at the Hindu Samajotsav there.
