Kalaburagi, Apr 13: A shepherd was carrying his stick with a sickle fitted to one of its ends on his shoulder. A girl student passing that way on a two-wheeler was killed after the sickle sliced her throat. This incident happened on Friday April 12.
The victim has been identified as Megha (20), a student of computer science section of PDA Engineering College here. She was going to her college by her scooter when this tragic incident happened near Ramamandir Circle on Friday morning.
A relative of the girl who happened to pass by on that road within minutes of the accident, took the girl to a hospital in his car, but the doctors said she was brought dead.
The shepherd fled from the accident spot, leaving behind his bicycle and stick fitted with sickle.
