Mangaluru, Apr 4: BJP’s star campaigner Tara Anuradha, who visited the city on Thursday, April 4, said that Narendra Modi is the candidate for all 28 constituencies in the state and people will vote for him.
She visited Central Fish Market and campaigned for Dakshina Kannada BJP candidate, Nalin Kumar Kateel, here.
Tara interacted with the fisherwomen and campaigned in favour of Nalin. Some fisherwomen kept forward their demands and shared their problems with Tara.
Speaking to media, Tara Anuradha, said, "I have come to Mangaluru to campaign for MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. I interacted with the women who sell fish in this market. They face a lot of problems. They demanded to construct a fish market instead of shifting them to other places. The state government and their ministers are not responding to the problems,”
“Because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, separate fishing ministry has been formed and this is a victory for fisherfolk. I am conducting a statewide tour campaigning for BJP. I am sure, in the upcoming elections, people will vote for the country's betterment. People will vote for Modi,” she added.
"Narendra Modi is the candidate of all 28 constituencies of the state as he has done tremendous work and has given secure government,” she said.
When queried about campaigning and asking for votes in Modi's name, Tara said, "Congress are still using Indira Gandhi's name and JD(S) is speaking about Gowda family. Then why should we not take the name of Modi who has done so much of good work? Modi has provided corruption-free government in the last five years,”
When asked about candidate Nalin, Tara said, "There are several achievements of Nalin Kumar Kateel. He is the number one MP of the state and 26th in the entire country.”
Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, BJP spokesperson Sulochana Bhat, corporator Pooja Pai and others were present.
