Oman, Mar 7: after the grand success of the Family Cricket Tournament, the Gulf Sport Star will usher in their next MRI ball cricket tournament, “SHARP CRICKET CUP 2009”. This cricket tournament is scheduled to be held on March 27, 2009 and the deadline for the teams to enroll is March 14, 2009. This MRI cricket tournament is limited to a maximum of 24 teams.
Announcing the event, organizers said, “This tournament will be played on grassy grounds, where 24 teams will be competing for the Grand Cricket Cup. This eagerly-awaited tournament is stirring up great excitement amongst the participating players, who will be competing for the winner’s title. Spectators are also invited to come along and join the fun-filled event. Gulf Sports Star is proud to have organized this event which regularly attracts all the cricket lovers in Oman”.
“We are looking forward to seeing excellent response from all the cricket lovers in Oman," said one of the organizers. He added, “The players are enthusiastically waiting for the day the tournament will be get going. A few teams have confirmed their entry into the event even before the formal announcement was made. With the great entertainment we have lined up, this will be a memorable occasion for all those watching from the sidelines too. We would encourage everyone to come along with their families and join us for this pleasingly-different event.”
The final game and prize-giving ceremony are scheduled on the same day late in the afternoon.
The organizers hope that this tournament will be bigger and better than it promises to be.
Officials from Sharp Electronics -Oman Modern Electronics Co (Part of Al Hashar Group), will grace the tournament and valubale awards await the outstanding performers and teams in the tournament. There will be adequate media presence for the event.
