In support of the bail applications, the advocates who appeared on behalf of the six accused, had placed arguments. District public prosecutor, Prakashchandra Shetty Beloor, arguing against the bail on behalf of the prosecution, pointed out that this is a crime that had sent shock waves throughout the district. He felt that granting of bail to the accused when the case is still under investigation can lead to destruction of evidence. He stoutly opposed the bail applications.
After hearing arguments from both the sides, the additional district judge passed an order on Saturday, rejecting the bail applications.
