Bengaluru, Mar 30: The diary said to be belonging to former chief minister and BJP leader, B S Yeddyurappa, which is said to contain donations handed over by him to the party high command, was thought to be a closed chapter. However the case has got a new twist. It is said that this diary has links to the incident in which an attempt to kidnap BJP leader, Eshwarappa's personal assistant, Vinay, was made by Yeddyurappa's personal assistant, Santosh.
The mention about this diary is found in the notice served by the then Malleshwaram police station assistant commissioner of police, A R Badiger, to Vinay N S. The said notice was served on December 2, 2017, and the diary referred was the same which was recently released by Congress party, sources say.

The notice says that during the questioning of N R Santosh relating to kidnap attempt of Vinay, he had revealed that Vinay had with him Yeddyurappa's diary, CD, and pen drive having content that could have been used for Yeddyurappa's character assassination. It also contains information that Santosh had asked Rajendra Aras to collect these items from Vinay.
