Bengaluru, Mar 29: The first election rally in Karnataka to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the declaration of Lok Sabha election will be held on April 7. Sources however, said that the location of the rally and other details are yet to be worked out.
In-charge of BJP affairs in Karnataka, Muralidhar Rao, stated that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and national president of BJP, Amit Shah, would be taking part in a number of public meetings connected with the election in the coming days. Rao said that the locations of the rally are yet to be fixed, and the party is planning to hold more than six rallies.
Rao also said that the list of the remaining candidates being fielded by the party for Lok Sabha election would be published soon.
Muralidhar Rao, referring to a complaint of fraud filed against him in a police station in Hyderabad in which the complainant has said that Rao and some other persons had collected huge funds by promising to make her the head of a company functioning under the union commerce and industry ministry, said that his name has been dragged unnecessarily in the controversy, taking advantage of the fact that Lok Sabha election is round the corner. He said that he has given detailed explanation about this matter in social website, and expressed the confidence that truth will come out soon.
