Bengaluru, Mar 26: In a statement that is bound to stoke controversy, former minister, C T Ravi, noted that Congress leaders are of late, seen to be developing affection for Pakistan. He said that in case of need, his party workers can dispatch these leaders to Pakistan free of cost.
Ravi addressed a press conference in the city on Monday March 25 in which he hit out at All India Congress Committee president, Rahul Gandhi, and Congress party. "We observe that Congress leaders are developing increasing affinity towards Pakistan. I therefore suggest to them to change their name into Pakistan National Congress from Indian National Congress. These leaders can go to that country in search of better prospects. They appear to be having more well-wishers and fans in that country," he said, continuing with his diatribe.
Rai criticised chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, for branding Sandalwood actors Darshan and Yash, who are campaigning for Sumalatha against his son, as bulls which have strayed from their paths. He wanted to know whether Kumaraswamy is a bull that has been roaming free from street to street. Noting that Sumalatha has been getting huge support, he predicted that money power and positions of power can never withstand the force of the sympathy wave that has been favouring Sumalatha.
Rajya Sabha member, Rajiv Chandrashekhar, Anwar Manippady, and A H Anand were present. On this occasion, 'Modi song' in Kannada, English and Hindi created by Prakash Sambaragi was released.
