Mangaluru, Mar 25: In order to handle the rush of passengers during the summer vacation, the department of railways will be running special train No 09009/09010 between Mangalore Junction and Bandra terminal stations.
This weekly train will leave Bandra terminal every Tuesday night beginning April 16 till June 4 at 11.55 pm and reach Mangalore Junction station at 7.45 pm the next day. The weekly Mangalore Junction - Bandra terminal train No. 09010 will leave Mangalore Junction till June 5 every Wednesday at 11 pm and reach Bandra the next day at 7.30 pm.
These trains will halt at Karwar, Murudeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road (Byndoor), Kundapur, Udupi and Suratkal stations in coastal Karnataka.
In the meantime, Mangalore Junction-Mumbai Express train No. 12133 and Mumbai-Mangalore Junction No. 12134 have been partially cancelled from Suratkal and Mangalore Junction because of doubling of railway tracks between Jokatte and Thokoor stations from March 22 to 26. On the arrival of this train at 1 pm on Friday from Mumbai, Konkan railways transported the passengers to Mangaluru by two buses.
