JD(S) fails to find candidate, Congress to contest from Bangalore North seat

Bengaluru, Mar 25 (IANS): The Congress will contest from the Bangalore North Lok Sabha constituency on April 18 as its ally Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) decided not to field its candidate, a JD-S official said on Monday.

"Our party supremo H D Deve Gowda conveyed to senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel that the party would not contest from Bangalore North and the ally was free to field its candidate," JD-S spokesman Ramesh Babu told IANS here.

As part of the seat-sharing arrangement between the two parties, the Congress will contest in 21 Lok Sabha seats, instead of 20, and the JD-S in seven, instead of eight.

"Of the 28 parliamentary constituencies, we will contest in one-third (7) of them, while the Congress will do in three-fourth (21) of them," said Babu, declining to explain why the party was giving up Bangalore North seat to the Congress.

Polling will be held in two phases in the southern state, with 14 from the southern and central regions on April 18, and the remaining 14 in the coastal and northern regions on April 23.

Vote counting is on May 23.

one third (1/3) of 28 is 9 (rounded off)
    three forth (3/4) of 28 is 21
    Altogether 30....!!!

By the way primary students know 1/3+3/4 is not equal to 1

What kind of mathematics they want to teach Karnataka people?
He should have told one forth....:-)

Did you hear about Modi's modern algebra in Canada,. a+b^2 = a^2+b^2+2ab ? That too he was reading this from teleprompter. The equation itself was wrong, the worst part was he was asking the audience Yeh 2ab kahan se aaya? Anyone who's passed highschool maths in India would laugh his/her guts out at this. If you haven't watched it, do watch it now in YouTube.

Are you confused between mathematics and politics?
When I am commenting purely on mathematics, from where did PM Modi came?

By the way, you are also poor in mathematics. Your formula a+b^2 = a^2+b^2+2ab is wrong. Bracket is missing. It should have been (a+b)^2 = a^2+b^2+2ab.

Spokesperson Ramesh babu is better than you....:-)

Read my comment again with eyes wide open I have clearly mentioned : EQUATION ITSELF WAS WRONG , that's because the bracket was missing in Modi's teleprompted reading. He just said 'a plus b squared' and not 'a plus b whole squared'.

Congress should not have allowed Pramod Madhwaraj to switch over to JDS.

Then, JDS would have given this seat also to Congress. Congress lost a leader and also the seat.

we dont need separate party but need able leaders who could raise people's issues in assembly/parliament. Not the ones who does group-ism/divide-and-rule and vote bank politics.
Our coastal districts are BJP strong base and with the numbers we have, they can get any grants to this region if they have willingness to do so.

    Very horrible explanation.
Why they did not do the same for Udupi /Chikmagalur?
Why double standard between constituencies. Poor Pramod has to face the ire of voters for changing party for seat. It is really chorbandhan between these 2 and actually there is no trust among them. Every one is busy in pulling legs of others. Typical "Indian crab" syndrome.
It is not surprise even BJP gets 27 except Mandya

Its not an issue voting JDS instead of Congress coz here the representing candidate is important. People should understand more the parydity the candidate is important how he works. Earlier JP Hegde was an Independent and also in JDS and also in Congress, People voted for him where he was coz he was a able representaion for public. Later he joined to BJP whos ideolgy are only Hindutva rather than development. If he gets BJP ticket also no one wud vote him.

But our bhakts are only on MODI. they are not thinking it is directly effecting their economy, their native developments by selecting illiterate candidates in BJP, who just create comunal tensions ratehr than devlopments of society

BJP is not ruling in karnataka. But the ruling party fail to get candidates for just 8 seats is really pitiable condition. And they were bargaining for 12 seats?
Now coming to change the party all BJP candidates have resigned from their earlier party like khangress /JDS where as Pramod is trying to be in 2 boats. That too travelling in different direction so his fall is sure
