Bengaluru, Mar 24: Lawyer Ramesh Nayak has written an email to Election Commission of India (ECI) urging them to give instructions to the producers of the movie 'PM Narendra Modi', a biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Tumukur-based lawyer Ramesh Nayak has written an email in this regard to the central Election Commission and the chief election officer of the state on Saturday, March 23.
The email states that "The country is gearing up for the 17th Lok Sabha elections. The moral code of conduct pertaining to the election is already in action throughout the country. If the movie, which is based on the life of Prime Minister Modi is released at this stage, it will influence the voters of the country in a negative or positive manner.
“This will be a clear violation of moral code of conduct of the election commission. So you have to give instructions to the producers and other concerned people not to release the movie 'PM Narendra Modi’ which is slated to release on April 12."
