Bengaluru, Mar 22: The pre-university lecturers temporarily took back their threat of boycotting the evaluation of the second PU answer papers recently. Now it is the turn of the high school teachers.
"The high school education board has to take back the decision of reducing the 17 days of leave of high school teachers. The decision of revising the salary and daily allowance every year by ten percent is still not implemented," complained H K Manjunath, president of the association of high school teachers.
Manjunath further warned and said, "If the government does not respond to our demand, we will call meeting of the members of the association and plan a protest in the month of June, when the new academic year begins."
