Mangaluru, Mar 21: Rotary Club of Mangalore donated 5 ECG machines at the cost of Rs 1.05 lac to Cardiology At Doorstep (CAD) organisation and CPAP machine at the cost of Rs 2.8 lac to NICU of Lady Goshen Hospital as part of its community service.
Rotary Dist 3181 governor Rtn Rohinath along with president of Rotary Club of Mangalore, Rtn Dr Vasanth Pai handed over the machines to Dr Padmanabha Kamath, renowned cardiologist and the founder of CAD at a function organised by the Rotary Club of Mangalore during the official visit of the Rotary district governor to the club. These machines will help saving the life of numerous heart patients in early diagnosis in the rural areas.
The CPAP machine will help prematurely born babies at the Lady Goschen Hospital for provided aided respiration. Rotary Dist 3181 governor Rtn Rohinath along with president of Rotary Club of Mangalore, Rtn Dr Vasanth Pai handed over the machine to the Hospital. Rtn Dr C R Kamath, assistant governor Rotary Dist 3181 Rtn Divakar Amin and other members of the board of directors of Rotary Club of Mangalore were present.
