Udupi: JCI Parkala, Jaycerettes and junior Jaycees felicitate special achievers

Udupi, Mar 18: “Women are sufficiently ahead in different sectors besides being successful housewives by special achievements. Therefore, there is no need to yearn for equality. They should make use of the opportunities available to them and look to reach greater heights,” said Mahamaya Foundation, Manipal secretary Usha S Pai.

JCI Parkala unit, Jaycerette and Junior Jaycee divisions in the joint programme held as part of women’s day recently, felicitated special achievers in different sectors.

Seventy one years old Jayalaxmi G Mayya, who is still active after decades of service in social and spiritual sectors, Jyothi N Pai who gave up high caliber career abroad and founded Janani farm in Kukkehalli indulging in service of cattle through local breed, cattle based cultivation and manufacture of chemicals free products, enthusiastic farmer Savita U Nayak and sports achiever, differently abled Chetanakumari Harini were felicitated.



Unit president Jaycee Vinuta chaired the programme. Chief guest, Municipal councillor and Bhagini Mahila Mandala president Sumitra Nayak, MIT professor Dr Balakrishna Maddodi, primary health center Hirebettu medical officer Bindiya, Jaycee zonal president Devendra Nayak, zonal officer Asha Babu and Jaycerette president Pavitra Jeevan were on the dais. Secretary Pallavi R Shenoy proposed vote of thanks.
