I have been closely following this competetion from where I am, and it is heartening to see the kind of enthusiasm this competition has generated. The burning need now, is to take this art to the masses and not restrict it to a drama hall in the city. Sure we cannot afford to make movies in Konkani, but we have a proven history of excellence in theater.

We have a good parish system. So why is it difficult for Konkani drama banners to stage even a single show a year, in each of these parishes ? Why do the parish youth clubs organise Tulu dramas which of course pack-in lot of masala, but while Konkani dramas can deliver the clean and authentic entertainment suited for the church environment. Secondly there is great need for soft media of Konkani theater. As Konkani speakers are spread all over the world, it is not possible for them to keep in touch with Konkani activities.

The only possibility for them is to watch these events on CD. Konkani drama producers should re-think their long held approach of copy-right make their productions available to the people on CD. As they will realise in the long term, that publicity is more valuable than the little money a copy-righted production can bring in. Thirdly, there is need for a good marketing network for Konkani material. Lot of money and effort is spent in Konkani audio and video productions, but they are all marketed in just one or two shops in the city. Is it necessary for some one in Chickmaglur or Bangalore to come to Mangalore just to buy some konkani audio CD's ?

I appreciate the effort of Daiji Dubai in spear heading the cause of Konkani theater in a big way. I also congratulate young artistes like 'Nellu Permannur' who have revolutionised the theater scenario in Konkani. The talents are there, but they just deserve to be recognized.

Hats of to you Mr. John, for tapping rich, hidden talent from your actors. They were all too good for words. Marvellous acting i say!!!! Each actor needs to be mentioned as they have put in alot of effort. Wonderful direction, fantastic acting and believe me when i say,that i have predicted that your drama will win the FIRST place.KUDOS!!!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It was a drama of a higher standard.God bless you all and Mr. John, please dish out more dramas like this i pray.

I would like to know if there are any such dramas happening in Mumbai. I presently stay in Nallasopara, Thane and am not aware of any Konkani Mangalore dramas. i wish to take my parents for the same. Please let me know if in case in the future you'll plan to stage any dramas.

Thank you very much DAIJI DUBAI for arranging such a beautiful Drama compitition and giving a opportunity to enjoy the Konkani Dramas. In Mangalorean Konkani Drama history we saw for the first time a superb Modern Theatre Performing art-'RATNAGIRICHO SARDAR'. Beautiful Language,good sound effect,music,lights.Excellent placement and performance,characterisation and co ordination,modern stage setting with symbolic properties,directinal tricks & without showing too much of violence is to be appreciated.All the credit goes to 'Udenti Kalakar' as well as one of the best directors Mr John M Permanoor. Hats off to Mr John for his dedication towards modern Konkani Theatre. We wish you all the best...!
