Mangaluru, Mar 14: The faculty of Diploma in Pre-primary Teachers Training (DPTT) at Vijayamari Technical Institute, Maryhill conducted an Educative Exhibition on March 8.
The occasion was graced by Fr Clifford Simon Pinto, principal of St Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel, SrMaria Jyothi, superior and joint secretary of Vijayamari Technical Institute and Community College along with Sr Maria Joyce, principal of Vijayamari Technical Institute, Sr Divina and Sr Irene Noronha.
The programme began with a prayer song followed by a welcome dance by the students of DPTT. Juliana Olivera student of DPTT introduced the chief guest and welcomed the gathering. A floral bouquet was offered to the chief guest by Sr Asuntha and a memento was offered by Sharal Pinto.
Fr Clifford Simon Pinto inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon and lighted the lamp along with Sr Maria Jyothi, Sr Maria Joyce, principal, Vidya Dinesh, Jennifer Menezes, Rita Mascarenhas (Educators), Asha (needlework instructor), and Hendrita Colaco (Student Pupil Leader).
Fr Clifford Simon Pinto also addressed the gathering with his words of wisdom and congratulated the students for their wonderful display of talents and educative teaching aids. Reshma Fernandes student of DPTT gave the vote of thanks and Nisha Misquith compered the programme.
Students and teachers of various schools visited, enjoyed and appreciated the exhibition. There was a beautiful display of art and craft done using waste material. The students of DPTT also entertained the children of various schools with their story dramatization with songs and rhymes.
The exhibition included the display of teaching learning materials and aids and garments prepared by the students of DPTT in regard to kindergarten curriculum. The purpose of this exhibition was to educate students of the kindergarten sections with simple yet effective teaching aids using easy methods and creating an interesting learning environment.
The enthusiastic co-operation of the principal, staff and students of DPTT, Vijayamari Institute, Maryhill led to a successful event.
