Mangalore, Feb 11: The Dakshina Kannada district sessions court, through an order, has released all the accused relating to the murder of college student Tanzeem in Katipalla, on Tuesday February 10.
Accused Nagesh Deviadiga, Tailak Kumar and Sachin D Amin from Katipalla were released as per the court order, on bail.
During an assault by a gang of youngsters on motor bike-borne Rahamatulla and Tanzeem on January 10 this year, Tanzeem had breathed his last while Rahamatulla suffered extensive injuries.
Rahamatulla was the accused in the case relating to the murder of Uday a few years ago. The police had arrested the above three as accused in the murder of Tanzeem.
Advocate for the accused when placing arguments in support of the bail application claimed that the arrested accused were innocent. Some unidentified persons had tried to kill Rahamatulla with sharp weapons, but to save himself, Rahamatulla pushed Tanzeem ahead, as a result of which Tanzeem was killed. As the accused are neighbourers of Rahamatulla, he has named them because of a persisting enmity over a cricket match, he argued.
The court, after hearing the arguments, granted bail to all the accused. Advocates P P Hegde and Rajesh Kumar appeared on behalf of the accused.
