Washington, Feb 5: Criticizing the US President Barack Obama's anti-terror policies, former US Vice President Dick Cheney has said that America is becoming more vulnerable to terrorist attacks under his administration.
In an interview published in The Politico magazine, Cheney apprehended that the terrorists are more likely to succeed with their catastrophic nuclear or biological attacks against the US in coming years.
In his first ever interview after relinquishing power on January 20, Cheney said the terrorists need to be handled tough and not in the language which has been adopted by the Obama Administration.
Protecting the country's security, he said: "is a tough, mean, dirty, nasty business."
Cheney said: "These are evil people. We're not going to win this fight by turning the other cheek."
Coming down heavily against Obama's decision to close down the Guantanamo terrorist detention center, he said a large number of terrorists released from Guantanamo have gone back to become terrorists.
The former Vice President said he is worried about the future of the US because the Obama team instead of "sitting down and carefully evaluating the policies" are following the campaign rhetoric and getting ready to release terrorists.
