Bengaluru: Recovery of cash - ACB serves notice to minister Puttaranga Shetty

Bengaluru, Feb 15: In connection with the recovery of cash amounting to Rs 25.76 lac in possession of his personal assistant at Vidhana Soudha, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has served notice on minister, Puttaranga Shetty, asking him to appear before it for investigation. The backward classes welfare minister has immediately replied to the ACB, saying that he will appear for the probe a few days later because of certain reasons.

The ACB officials had, through his notice, asked the minster's personal presence for questioning after the conclusion of the assembly session, it is said.

Mohan Kumar, working as personal assistant to minster, Puttaranga Shetty, was found carrying the said cash stuffed in a bag on his motor bike from inside Vidhana Soudha when security personnel apprehended him on January 4 this year.
