Bengaluru, Feb 9: BJP has threatened to use its own weapon against CM Kumaraswamy after the chief minister released a video of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa indulging in Operation Kamala in state politics.
BJP leader Arvind Limbavali speaking to reporters near residence of B S Yeddyurappa said that chief minister has made false allegations against BJP in the name of Operation Kamala. “But we will release a video of Kumaraswamy demanding Rs 25 crores for the post of MLC in the past,” he said.
“BJP state president B S Yeddyuappa will speak in the house and release the video on Monday. The video will be handed over to speaker Ramesh Kumar with a request to watch it in his room. The chief minister will be allowed to watch the video himself and answer,” said Arvind Limbavali.
Reacting to the allegation by coalition government that Arvind Limbavali and BSY’s son Vijayendra are staying in Mumbai for Operation Kamala, he said that he had gone to Telangana to take over responsibility of the party when the allegation of Operation Kamala was made. “There is no need to give clarifications to the allegations,” he said.
Arvind Limbavali refused to divulge more details on the video that BJP intends to release. He said that BSY himself will provide further details.
Sources say that the video shows HDK demanding Rs 25 crores from Vijugowda Patil in 2014 to make him an MLC. The video was also released in Mandya during last elections. It is suspected that the same video will be released by BJP again.
