Kundapur, Feb 8: The town police have arrested one person in connection with the case in which the students of Bhandarkars’ College in the town were assaulted by seven or eight hired goonda students of outside colleges. This arrest was done on Thursday, February 7.
The arrested accused is identified as Subramanya Shetty, a resident of Kirimanjeshwara.
It may be recalled that few days ago, seven to eight bike-borne miscreants attacked the students of Bhandarkars’ College with iron rods on the road during the lunch hours of the institute. As a consequence of this assault, students of Bhandarkars’ College Mithun, a resident of Koteshwara Gopadi and his classmate were severely injured.
The arrested accused Subramanya was produced in the court by the police. Police are on the hunt for others involved in this attack through the information provided by the arrested person.
