Mangalore, Jan 24: The department of biotechnology of St Aloysius College (SAC) will be organizing a national-level seminar on ‘Sustainable Waste Management—Problems and Solutions’, from Thursday January 29 to Saturday January 31 at their College premises, stated a press release.
The seminar aims at creating awareness among the participants about the causes and consequences of waste generation and management. It is also targeted at college and university students, lecturers, professors, and researchers, as well as professionals in various fields. Local civic authorities will be the special invitees for the seminar. Participants will have first hand opportunities to update their ideas and clarify their doubts.
There will be about 14 oral presentations by prominent personalities from research and industrial organizations, as well as academicians. There will also be power sessions depicting research work done by young researchers in the field of waste management. The seminar also proposes to hold a panel discussion on the problems faced and seek solutions, added the press release.
