Mangalore, Jan 22: The first issue of ‘Bari Vare Kore’, Kannada cartoons monthly magazine by cartoonist Prakash Shetty of ‘Santoshi’, ‘Chitra Tara’, ‘Mungaru’, ‘The Week’, and ‘ETV’ fame, will be released on Friday January 23.

Shetty is a professionally successful cartoonist who has been pursuing his hobby since the age of 15 and has gained knowledge in various aspects of journalism. He has the pulse of the people as regards cartoons.

‘Bari Vare Kore’, the Kannada cartoon monthly will feature cartoons and humour based on every day life. It will have cartoons catering to people from all walks of life. 

Shetty has inspired veteran cartoonists to brush up on their talents and get back into the mainstream yet again. 

The handbook of cartoons, both in English and Kannada, consisting of eight pages is sure to have smooth sailing if there are enough subscriptions, said Shetty, who is also the editor.
