Mangalore: BBM Student Commits Suicide

Mangalore, Jan 7: Ramya (19), a first year BBM student of St Agnes College in the city, committed suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room on Tuesday January 6.

Ramya, a native of Sakleshpur in Hassan district, is said to be a chronic asthmatic. It is suspected, that she decided to end her life, frustrated over this health problem. She reportedly ended her life between 4 pm and 4.20 pm on Tuesday, after closing the doors of her hostel room.

Her room mate Edna Crasta has filed a complaint with the Kadri police station about the incident.

    Very sad, a young girl has to give up Her precious life. Desparate in life leads to many thoughts,which includes suicide. Now Her father has come out with His blame game telling the public His side of story. He blames Warden for daughter's death. According to Him, daughter called and told Him that She is being Harassed by Warden and depressed.

    She wanted to get out of Hostel but Father pushed her to stay back. Reason is that He spent Rs45000 on donation. In my opinion,loving and caring Father would have met the Warden and sorted out the differences. Worst the case,He could have taken daughter back home which could have saved Her life but lost only money. He says that He wanted to file FIR. I think Warden should file FIR for negative Publicity to defame. People are really getting nutty.
