Bengaluru, Jan 18: Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, lamented the fact that both the times he became chief minister (CM), he had to contend with bad luck as he was forced to lead coalition governments. He expressed helplessness at meeting the aspirations of the people through programmes conceived by him, as he feels his hands are tied.
He was addressing the participants of a programme organized by Karnataka Electricity Board Engineers Association here on Thursday January 17. He said he could have been able to execute plans and projects as per his choice had he been given a free hand by way of heading a government with majority legislators belonging to his party.
Kumaraswamy used this occasion to spit out at the media again. He accused the media of feeding false information to the people by concentrating on political acts containing untrue facts. "Some of the media speculated that the state would be ruled by the governor from January 17 onward. There have been unending speculations about the doom of the coalition government since the day it came into existence. They should stop all these baseless dramas," he said.
