Bantwal, Jan 4: The Brahmakalashotsav on the occasion of re-consecration was held at Kelinja Shri Ullalti Temple on Saturday January 3.
Delivering the benedictory speech after inaugurating the programme, Sri Keshavanand Swamiji, Edaneeru Math said that constructing the stone- temple with copper covering within a span 136 days, that too a rural place where most of the residents are economically poor but rich in heart, is an unbelievable feat. It has been made possible only with the total love, affection and support of the people, he appreciated.
The temple has been constructed on the basis of the faith the people have on the presiding deity. Being spiritual is quite different from being superstitious. We must teach our cultural values to the children, advised Nalin Kumar Kateel, district chief secretary, BJP and president of the Kateel Temple Renovation Committee.
Ex-MLA K Padmanabha Kottari, honorary president of the Temple Renovation Committee presided over the function.
N Jayaram Neerkaje, progressive farmer, K Diwakar, former mayor, Mangalore city corporation, Lingappa Gowda, Alike Satya Sai High School, Dr Shivkumar and Shankar Bhat, president, renovation committee were present on the occasion.
Pundikai Narrayana Bhat of the renovation committee welcomed the gathering. Rohitashwa Banga, joint treasurer proposed vote of thanks. Padmanabha Gowda, joint secretary compered the programme.
