Mangalore, Jan 3: A function to release a book titled 'Sambhrama', authored by S G Nayak, was held at the press club here on Friday January 2 at 11 am.
Speaking after releasing the novel, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, Dakshina Kannada district Kannada Sahitya Parishat said that the author has tried to capture the beautiful moments of his life through his novel.
The author has sought to strike a balance between the old and the new way of thinking in his beautiful novel 'Sambhrama' he said. He also pointed out that renowned Kannada writers right from Govinda Pai to Kadengodlu Shankar Bhat wrote by recollecting and quoting even small memorable events from their lives.
On behalf of Dakshina Kannada district Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Kalkura felicitated S G Nayak on the occasion.
“Since I have already written two books in Kannada language, my third work will be on Quit India movement, which will be in English. It involves both fiction and non fiction. Most of the politicians may not like it to be published." said S G Nayak, author.
Author’s wife Tara Nayak, Shalini Shetty and N Nagraj of Gayatri Printers were present at the press conference.
