Mangalore, Jan 2: The 'Aloysian Conclave 2009', will be held at Eric Mathias Hall, IT Centre of St Aloysius College on Sunday January 4 at 10.30 am.
The event is being jointly organized by the rector and the management of St Aloysius College in association with Aloysian Partners International (API) and St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA).
Dr K V Rao, scientist, The Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden will deliver the annual Aloysian Lecture on 'Trends in Nano science Enables Novel Technology', as part of the conclave, said Fr Denzil Lobo, director, St Aloysius College, speaking at a press conference on Friday January 2.
The talk will focus on some large scale applications in which nano-science has enabled the technologies of hard coating, energy transfer and clean environment, he explained.
The conclave will also confer the 'Eminent Aloysian Alumni' honour to the five distinguished personalities, Dr K V Rao, scientist, Sweden, Dr Deviprasad Shetty, chairman, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore, Yenepoya Abdulla Kunni, chancellor, Yenepoya University, Santosh Hegde, Lokayukta and Aubrey D'Souza, president, Aubrey D'Souza Charitable Foundation on the occasion, said Dr Derek P Lobo, organizing committee chairman.
