Shimoga, Jan 2: Senior Congress leader and ex-minister Kagodu Timmappa, who had been involved with a long, bitter and legendary political war with the state BSP president Bangarappa during the most of his political career, sank his differences by officially handing over the Congress Party's invitation to Bangarappa to join it. Bangarappa who received the invitation said that he would merge the entire state BSP unit with the Congress.
The two leaders then exchanged sweets and announced that they would give a decent burial to their past differences and put together a new, fruitful relationship for the development of the Congress party in the state. Kagodu said that Bangarappa's support is very much needed by the Congress for defeating the communal forces. He called upon the Congress workers to wholeheartedly take part in the meetings Bangarappa will be organizing all over the district.
Bangarappa also clarified, that he has taken a decision to come back to the Congress fold, duly holding the interests of the nation paramount.
