Mangalore, Jan 2: 'Karavali Utsav', an annual event of exhibition-cum-sale that has become an annual feature of the city, will be inaugurated at the Karavali Utsav Ground near Mangala Stadium in the here at 6 pm on Sunday January 4.
State tourism and infrastructure development minister G Janardan Reddy will inaugurate the event. Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar will inaugurate the exhibition. The function will be presided by the chairman of Karnataka State Industrial Investment and Development Corporation N Yogish Bhat.
A programme of patriotic songs will be presented at the same dais by the 'Jago Hindustani' team from Kolhapur in Maharashtra, from 7 pm onwards on that day. Various cultural programmes have also been lined on a daily basis, at the exhibition stage from January 4 to February 4. In addition, cultural programmes by district, state, national and international level artistes will also be staged at the Town Hall and Kadri Park on certain days during the tenure of the event, entry for which will be free of cost.
The 'Karavali Utsav' mega exhibition will go on from January 4 to February 16.
