Bangalore, Dec 31: It seemed like it was the Mysore Mallige scandal all over again. A resident of Assam, who allegedly videographed and made a CD of the intimate moments with his girl friend, has landed in the City police net.
According to the police, he recorded the moments on his mobile phone and transferred the contents to a CD. However, contents of the CD leaked and soon the news spread like wild fire across Assam.
Parents of the girl, upon coming to know of the incident, lodged a complaint with Niyali police. The boy, Idul alias Abdul, a resident of Kali Pancham in Niyali, Assam fled to Bangalore after learning the disastrous consequences. He was arrested by Viveknagar police on Tuesday. He was staying at Ashok Nagar.
Following the complaint by parents, the Niyali Police arrested three persons. A special team of the Niyali police came to Bangalore last week and sought the help of the Bangalore police in apprehending Abdul. He told the police that he had applied for anticipatory bail in Niyali, but kept everyone in dark about the bail application. The Viveknagar police collected Abdul’s photograph from their Niyali counterparts. They searched for him for a week, but in vain. Later, they went to a photo studio to enlarge the photograph to display it at a few places. The photographer revealed that he had snapped the said photograph. They collected additional details from him and took Abdul into custody some four days ago. He spilled the beans upon grilling.
