Mangaluru Jan 7: "Kerala Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan should ensure that all women enter Sabrimala Temple without any trouble,” senior Congress leader Janardhana Poojary said,
Addressing media here at Kudroli Temple on Monday, January 7, Janardhana Poojary said, "Women are God's children. So far three women have entered the temple. All women who want to visit the temple, should be allowed to do so. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan is doing his duty well. He should make sure that there is proper security for women devotees,”
"Politicians are involved in this and they are politicizing this issue. Whoever opposes the entry of women into the temple should be strictly dealt with, no matter what party they belong to. We say Mathru Devo Bhava which means mother is like God. Ayyappa Swami did not say that women are not allowed to the temple. But it is the politicians who are imposing this rule, so that they can gain something out of it,” added Poojary.
When asked about Kannada scholar Prof Bhagwan mentioning Sri Ram in negative way in his book, Janardhana Poojary said, "This is unfortunate. Was Prof Bhagwan there during Sri Ram's time, was he born then? Did he ever see Sri Ram consuming non- vegetarian food? Prophet Mohammed is for Muslims, Jesus Christ is for Christians, and Sri Ram is for Hindus. We revere them. The motive behind this is to create violence,”
Regarding contesting Lok Sabha election, Poojary said," If I get the ticket, I will definitely contest. And I am trying for the ticket,”
Kudroli Temple Bhramakalashotsava
Janardhana Poojary also said," The Bhramakalashotsava of Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra will be held on February 11 to 17. The offertory procession will be taken out from Nehru Maidan to Kudroli Temple on February 13. The existing Kalasa will replaced with Kalasa made out of gold weighing up to 1 kilogram costing around Rs 45 lac. The installation of new Dwaja Stamba (Kodimara) will be held on this occasion.”
Kudroli temple president H S Sairam, treasurer Padmaraj, Madhav Suvarna and others were present.
