Mangalore, Dec 22: The book release of ‘Kanntanni’, authored by Hamza Malar, was held at the press club on Monday December 22.

Muhammad Haarish, treasurer, Akhila Bharata Beary Parishat, released the book on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Hamza Malar said that the title of the book means ‘tears’ in Beary language. The book contains 20 articles and six poems. It has been written in Beary language to create awareness among the people about the need to protect the Beary language and culture, he said.

The problems faced by the Beary Muslim community, some tips for finding solutions, and their daily lifestyle are briefly described in the book, said Malar.

Being a journalist, Malar has written 30 books of which three have been published in Beary language, said B A Muhammad Hanif, president, Akhila Bharata Beary Parishat.
