Bengaluru, Jan 1: As far as extending humanitarian assistance from out of Chief Minister's (CM) Relief Fund is concerned, Kumaraswamy has been the best CM so far. He has been very liberal in throbbing to the needs of the suffering people.
In politics, Kumaraswamy could be adept at adopting techniques and plans to defeat his adversaries. However, as far as coming to the rescue of people reeling under genuine difficulties is concerned, no one can overtake him. His heart is made of pure gold. He never sends back people seeking his help empty-handed. In particular, he always makes it a point to help without fail those who face health issues.
By utilizing Rs 28 crore out of CM's Relief Fund during the six months since he assumed office, he has surpassed all his previous chief ministers.
On an average, a hundred applications arrive at the CM's office seeking humanitarian aid from the relief fund. Kumaraswamy never refuses aid, and if the applications are not backed by documents or other things, there have been cases in which the applicants were contacted, necessary enclosures were collected from them, and aid was extended. It is learnt that about 10,000 applications received during the last six months have been processed and maximum assistance was disbursed.
The people who got help out of his kindness include an auto driver from the city who was given five lac rupees to take care of heart problems faced by his daughter, ten lac rupees to a poor man from Ballari whose two children face bone marrow problem, and two lac rupees to a paraplegic from Kalaburagi.
If we set aside politics and assess Kumaraswamy's qualities independently, there is no doubt that he has a big heart and he years to rush to assist people facing crisis. One wishes that he will continue to be as generous and large-hearted as before in future too.
