There was no need to remove Home department from Parameshwar: H D Revanna

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Dec 29: "What was the need to take the Home department away from deputy chief minister (DCM) Dr Parameshwar, who belongs to scheduled tribe? What can I say when Parameshwar's own party (Congress) does not tolerate a person from scheduled tribe becoming a DCM and also holding the prestigious portfolio of home ministry," lamented minister H D Revanna taunting his unhappiness over the coalition partner Congress party.

Revanna was speaking at a press conference in the city. He further said, "Parameshwar should have held the Home portfolio in addition to being a DCM. Parameshwar has worked as the president of the Congress party for eight years. In the past six months, he has done good work in the home department to the best of his ability. When he was the home minister, I did not even ask him for the transfer of even a constable. Then why my name is being unnecessarily dragged?"

We are not afraid of anyone

Responding to a query by the scribes on the deputation of a Congress MLA for the post of political secretary to the chief minister, Revanna said, "Chief minister Kumaraswamy will tolerate as far as he can. We will not keep mum out of fear. I will not interfere in the alliance with the Congress."

Congress will learn a lesson

Revanna, who got furious to the question of someone hatching a plot against him, said, "A time will come wherein the Congress party will take the beating if they try to hatch any plot. Instead of unnecessarily taunting, let them say openly in public. I am not a person to hold onto ministership inspirte of jabs at me. In the midst of all this, I am getting free publicity in media and I offer my sincere thanks for the same."

Revanna Sir, do not monopolize politics. If you do, you will be at the receiving end tomorrow.

Your brother is the CM. It looks like a family is managing the show. In democracy people always teach leaders a lesson.

Kindly retire to the background. Let CM do the talking.
You have made all the money. You have inherited arrogance. Now you want to be in the forefront. It is just too much.
