Udupi, Dec 19: The people’s welfare programmes undertaken by the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), has greatly boosted the economic status of rural people, said A G Kodgi, chairman, Third Pay Commission.
Kodgi was speaking at the installation ceremony of the office-bearers of Padu Pragatibandu Self-help Groups (SHGs) Federation under SKDRDP held recently at the Sri Hale Mariamma temple auditorium, Kaup, near here.
Taluk panchayat member Jagdish Acharya, SKDRDP agriculture officer Gunakar, Kaup gram panchayat president Bhanumati Kanchan, and Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, were the chief guests of the occasion.
Kaup Padu Pragatibandu SHGs Federation vice-president Shekar Shetty presided over the programme. New president Ganesh Mallar assumed charge.
SKDRDP Padubidri zonal supervisor Lata K Amin, welcomed the gathering. Geeta compered the programme while Dhanalaxmi proposed vote of thanks.
