Mangaluru: Bike-lorry collision at Kallapu, MCF employee dies

Mangaluru, Dec 24: As the result of a bike-lorry collision at Kallapu near here, the rider of the bike died on the spot.

Yateesh (24) is the person deceased. He worked for MCF Company in city.

The accident took place on Sunday late night of December 23.

As per details available, Yateesh was going from Mangaluru to Kumpala on his bike. When he reached Kallapu , a container lorry hit him from behind. He was thrown away on the road and breathed his last.

Yateesh's sister's wedding was scheduled to take place on December 27, said a relative. 

Police have registered a case.

    I have observed many youths are Riding bikes in Right side of the Road this very dangerous please avoid Riding from Right side of the Road.

    Since we have no space on the roads all heavy vehicles should be on the left of the road. Two, three and four wheelers should be on the right of the road or inner lane of the road only when there are rules put in place we will have less accidents on the roads.

    Please ban killing machine on Indian roads and save our youth
    There's no bikes on US or Canada roads because they know value of human life, We should unite and fight to ban bikes on our roads as well

    Bro, Population nothing to do with ban, I live in NYC ( New York City) , Its a most populous city, Here people take either subway( train) or buses when they commute to work or shopping despite they have cars because some places you hard to find parking , I cant compare it to India but whatever transport we have in India, its enough for our youth and save human lives

    Moreover, we do not have strict traffic rules in India. If there nobody is following because of the law and order. Advance countries people cannot escape from these kind of rules / laws.

    Pintoji....in USA they have 7 times bigger land, with 35 cr population....we have 135 cr people, out of which only 4 cr pay imcome tax....rest take free subsidy.

    I also feel bikes are dangerous. please fony provide bikes to youngsters . please drive slowly . respect traffic rules. accidents are preventable . let's respect traffic rules. lkkg
