Mangalore, Dec 15: "Energy minister K S Eshwarappa said, that the ex-deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah was neglected by the JD(S). The Congress too has failed to give him proper recognition and position matching his stature. As a result, he has been grossly sidelined," said state energy minister K S Eshwarappa.
Speaking to reporters in the city on Sunday December 14, Eshwarappa felt that the time is ripe for the veteran leader to take a decision about his political future. "If he decides to come into our fold, the party is prepared to welcome him," he clarified.
"The BJP is sure to win most of the assembly seats that are going for the by-polls shortly. The fact that the party was able to prepare and release the list of its candidates for the election even before the election dates were finalized, will work to the party's advantage. While the BJP has undertaken aggressive electioneering, the Congress and the JD(S) continue to grope for suitable candidates, he criticized. He also added that the BJP candidate Chennigappa is sure to win from Madhugiri, where he is pitted against strong contenders.
