Kasargod: Violence erupts during return of Hindu Samajotsava participants

Kasargod, Dec 17: Some incidents of violence were reported from the town and elsewhere during the time people were returning after taking part in the Hindu Samajotsava organized here on Sunday December 16. Miscreants pelted stones at the vehicles which were returning after participation in the said programme, giving rise to group clashes.

The police resorted to caning the crowd to restore order. Several were injured in this incident. Stones were also thrown at a business establishment at Uliyathadka. Several merchants complained that the police had forcefully closed down several shops and other units and committed atrocity on the concerned.

Condemning the incident, protest by way of closure of shops and other establishments in Uliyathaka town from 6 am to 1 pm is being staged today. Stone pelting incidents happened in some other parts of the district too. When stones were tossed at a car at the Press Club junction in the town, a person named Ranjith was injured.

In view of untoward incidents, the police have been keeping a close vigil. They have undertaken precautionary measures to ensure that the disturbances do not vitiate further.

    It is no doubt Prime Minister Modi himself has predicted 'God's own country' into Somalia. This Hindu Samajotsava is the extension of the Sabarimala to keep the pot boiling using communal tension.
    The BJP is already raising the Maplas win Malabar region, Sabarimala and so on.

    It is time for Keralites to stay united. They will try to create a ridge between communities. All your state development will go back zero. Beware communist will never snatch your bread. Burn the demon and save Kerala to become another Lanka.

    all these samajotsava's and public gathering is nothing but provoking common public with the influence of alcohol and commit such crimes.
    there will be one uneducated person who will give non sense speech on the stage and all public follow him and damage other's properties, where as the person who gave such speech will go by fully airconditioned car and have full biryani at his house.
    my request is, district administration should ban all such public gatherings during election time ( except religious ).

    well trained stone pelters. may be trained at kashmir. it is common when hindu samajotsava held these stone pelters show their peace loving activity. but tragedy is when they do this kind of act they are not ready to say that we have done this.

    This was well planned by sanghi terrorists as they were carrying stones with them in the rally. they are frustrated by humiliating defeat in 5 states and are trying to create voilence now.
    These chaddi terrorists are creating disturbance and Police should take strict action against them. If they were peaceful why should they carry stones + weapons with them inthe rally. It shows that it was a pre planned voilence.
    Kerala Govt should be tough on these anti national elements. Chaddis are active in north part of kerala as they are kicked out from south + central part. They are trying to convert north Kerala into UP by creating trouble.
